Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio & Spiritual Front - Satyriasis, Somewhere Between Equilibrium and Nihilism

You know, some musical "artists" just make me downright angry.  And frankly, this repulsive group makes me furious.  For some reason, even some of the most satanic bands don't get me as riled up as a band like this.  This poppy folk band, which is a collaboration of Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio and Spiritual Front is very mellow, yet very satisfying musically.  With soft acoustic guitars, delicate pianos, and excellent vocals, they are the great remedy on a slow, easy-going day where you just can't take the pounding of extreme metal (as rare as those days are).  But alas, this does nothing to relax this reviewer.  The subject matter of this blasphemous, sex-filled album is nothing but pure crap.  I'm all for freedom of speech, but how you can be proud to release garbage like this is beyond me.  And this is labeled as the release of the summer!!??

Here are just a few of the disgusting lines from this immature and ignorance-filled CD....(please note that these might be VERY offensive to some).

"I close my mouth to suck the flame of lust.  Masturbation is the only way to adore our lovely Jesus."

"No cross will give you answers, or satisfy your needs.  No faith will give you pleasure, that takes away the pain.  But hate will give you meaning, and make you feel again."

"Let my dreams be remembered, when I lay down not to sleep.  Hell is where the heart is.  It's a place for you and me."

"And consider me as your worst lover and consider me as your sinner.  The only thing that I want to feel is the warmth of your sex in my mouth....The only thing that I want to see is my defeated and my sperm in your hands."

"One is for the soul.  Two is for the woman.  Three is an orgy.  Four is forever.  Five is for the sun.  Six is for lust.  Seven is for the fallen angel.  Eight is where it all begins again."

Why am I printing such graphic lyrics on these pages?  To show you what crap some people call art....and maybe to counter-balance all the expected reviewers who will heap undeserved praise on this album just because of the label that released it.  One wonders what would possess someone of right mind to write such sickness.  That's the key though...someone of right mind.  Obviously that's not who we're dealing with here.  And then there is the artwork.  The dark cover is hard to make out, but an unclothed female body part is what is found when you figure it out...which explains my doctoring of the above album cover photo.  Then we have the way more sexually explicit pictures inside.  Call me close-minded because of my rating below, but aside from the quality music, this is utter worthless trash that we are dealing with.  This CD will be finding a nice spot in my garbage container on the side of my house.  I only wish it wasn't three full days before they come to pick it up.  I wonder if CD's tear up your garbage disposal???.....hmmm....

Rating: 50/100 (Rating based on music/vocals alone.  Huge deduct for content).
